The AutoTrader Awards are all about recognizing automotive excellence in all shapes and forms. Our jury has been hard at work voting on the best vehicles in more than 30 segments to help you feel more confident the next time you’re buying a car, and the finalists for 2023’s awards have been revealed.
Our expert jury of more than 20 automotive journalists from across the country voted on the best vehicles in each segment that they feel confident recommending to their family and friends, so these vehicles represent the best of the best. Every vehicle that’s available for Canadians to buy is eligible for an award, but these finalists received the most votes in their respective segments from our panel. Our jury votes for vehicles that go above and beyond what’s expected to offer Canadian car shoppers a well-rounded package that raises the bar.
The finalists for Best Overall Car for 2023 are the BMW i4, Genesis G80 / Electrified G80, Honda Civic, Honda Civic Type R, and Toyota Sienna.
The finalists for 2023’s Best Overall SUV are the Genesis GV70, Kia Telluride, Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo, Subaru Crosstrek, and Subaru Outback.
The finalists for 2023’s Best Overall Truck are the Chevrolet Silverado / GMC Sierra, Ford F-150 lineup, Ford Maverick, GMC Hummer EV Pickup, and Toyota Tundra.
The finalists for Best Overall Green Vehicle are the BMW i4, Ford F-150 Hybrid / F-150 Lightning, Ford Maverick Hybrid, Hyundai Ioniq 5, and Toyota RAV4 Prime.
The finalists for the 2023 Best Premium Performance Car are the BMW M3 / M4, Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing, Chevrolet Corvette, Porsche 718 Boxster / 718 Cayman, and the Porsche 911.
The winners of the 2023 AutoTrader Awards will be announced on February 16, 2023.
