Canadians have cast their ballots, and the Toyota Supra has been voted as the Coolest Car in the 2020 autoTRADER.ca People’s Choice Awards. After tallying thousands of votes from people all over the country, the brand-new sports car with the iconic name was voted as the one that best embodies what Canadians think is cool.

Ever since the revived Supra was foreshadowed years ago with a wild-looking concept car called the FT-1, the hype for Toyota’s newest sports car has been strong. No longer content with making reliable but admittedly boring cars, the Supra was a way for the Japanese automaker to inject some sexiness back into its lineup.
With such an iconic name, rich history, and legions of dedicated fans, the Supra had a high bar and extremely lofty aspirations to live up to, and with its new title as Canada’s Coolest Car, it looks like Toyota succeeded. Even though the Supra continues to be controversial among enthusiasts, its appeal can’t be denied and Canadians are excited about this dramatic-looking, rear-wheel-drive performance car.
