People’s Choice Awards: Most Trusted Green Car – Audi e‑tron

Alternative-powertrain vehicles used to be oddities in the automotive marketplace, but as people and automakers become more conscious of their consumption, electric cars and hybrids have become increasingly popular and are well on their way to becoming mainstream.

Canadians have cast their ballots, and the new Audi e-tron has been voted as the Most Trusted Green Car in the 2020 autoTRADER.ca People’s Choice Awards. After tallying thousands of votes from people all over the country, the electric SUV has been recognized as the one Canadians trust the most. As a relatively new model, this is a huge feat, as it was up against such heavyweights as the popular Tesla Model S, the more affordable Chevrolet Bolt and Hyundai Kona EV, and stalwarts like the Toyota Prius.

As the German automaker’s first fully electric vehicle, the Audi e-tron represents a huge step forward for the brand. This crossover is the first of many new electric vehicles from Audi. But of course, being an Audi, the e-tron isn’t defined by its silent operation, futuristic style, or even its range, but its high-tech and futuristic interior that showcases the brand’s obsession with build quality. With its rather normal operation, the e-tron eases the transition to EV life.
