After a half-century of pony-car power, making a new Mustang is a tall order for Ford. They've got to keep the diehard fans happy, woo new customers, build and expand the brand, introduce new technology, keep the old-school flavour of the car, and showcase the whole shebang to an expectant world. No pressure.
