Cadillac Debuts Flagship CT6 Luxury Sedan at NYIAS

Cadillac pulled the wraps off a new flagship sedan that will represent the brand at the highest levels of luxury. Dubbed the CT6, it enters the full-size prestige class with the likes of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class and Lexus LS.

With an advanced aluminum and lightweight construction, the CT6 promises lower weight and better agility than class leaders in a vehicle that will be longer than standard wheelbase sedans from Mercedes, BMW and Audi.

The CT6 will also introduce Cadillac’s new twin-turbo V6, making upwards of 400 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque, and the lineup will be supplemented by an all-new naturally aspirated 3.6L V6 and Cadillac’s smooth, strong 2.0L four-cylinder turbo. All engines will be routed through an eight speed automatic, and while the platform is rear-drive in principle, all-wheel drive will be standard for V6 models

While power and poise are prerequisites for the prestige class, customers also demand quality and attention to detail, which the CT6 demonstrates with bespoke interior treatments combining luxurious leathers, exotic woods, and carbon fibre. Not to be overlooked, Cadillac will bring all its technological prowess to bear with 10.2-inch widescreen CUE display, wifi hot spot capability and an innovative new rear-view camera mirror that combines camera image with the visible view.
