The Takata airbag recall has affected millions of vehicles in Canada and the US, across a broad range of manufacturers, models, and years. In fact, the issue is so pervasive, Transport Canada has set up a hub page for Takata recalls in Canada, where it lists all current recalls related to the faulty airbag inflators. Though the defective part has been involved in several cases in the US, Transport Canada has received no complaints nor logged any incidents occurring in Canada.
We've adapted Transport Canada's comprehensive recall listing to better show the complete list of makes and models involved. Every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of this list, though you may also wish to search the TC recall database or contact your manufacturer directly.
In the below list, certain vehicles are listed in bold. These vehicles are considered higher risk and warrant immediate action by the owners. In addition, two particular vehicles, the Ford Ranger and Mazda B Series from the 2006 model year are under Do Not Drive advisories from the manufacturers.
