New Honda CB500F Is a Variation On a Same Theme

Ahead of the Milan International Motorbike Show -- EIMCA -- Honda has unveiled the updated version of what they consider to be their best twin-cylinder sportsbike to date. Introducing the new 2016 Honda CB500F.

Despite being a recent model the CB500F receives a visual refresh that is striking with much more aggressive lines, a thinner, all-LED headlamp block and a larger fuel tank while keeping the same classic riding position. If the twin-cylinder 471 cc engine remains unchanged, a shortened muffler makes for an improved exhaust note to give the CB some extra personality. Standard ABS as well as adjustable front forks are welcome features, and kudos to Honda for adding a hinge to the fuel tank cap, which avoids having to shuffle with it while filling up.

Other upgraded features include an adjustable brake lever, aluminum die-cast passenger foot pegs and an improved transmission. Alongside the new 2016 CB500F, Honda also announced the refreshed CBR650F and Giorno scooter, as well as the list of returning models for the 2016 model-year.
