Subaru XV Concept Debuts in Geneva

Subaru has unveiled their XV Concept to show a glimpse of the next-generation production Crosstrek. Details are few and far between, but expect the showroom Crosstrek (previously known as the Crosstrek XV, it is now the Crosstrek in North America and the XV everywhere else) to retain many of the style elements of the concept.

The 19-inch wheels are unlikely to stay, but the basic lines, striking side swoops and flares could all see the real world. The concept is about three inches longer and six inches wider than the current model, but it is not currently known if the production model would grow as well. The Crosstrek is a lifted up Impreza, so it should follow suit with the next iteration of the sedan. As with most Subarus, expect power to come from a boxer four-cylinder combined with all-wheel drive. Hopefully the scoops and swoops make it to production, as the styling sets the Crosstrek apart in the class and makes for a very good looking compact crossover.
