2017 Subaru WRX and WRX STI Canadian Pricing Announced

Subaru Canada has just announced the details and pricing for the 2017 WRX and WRX STI models. The WRX and WRX STI are still based on the last generation Impreza for 2017, but do undergo some changes, including a revised gearbox for the WRX.

The 268-hp 2.0L turbo flat four we know and love in the WRX is backed by your choice of a Lineartronic CVT or a six-speed manual transmission which has been revised for improved shift feel. The all-wheel-drive system includes active torque vectoring for more precise handling and improved cornering.

Other changes to all WRX and WRX STI trims for this year include automatic up/down for the front passenger window and a new headliner fabric.

The WRX starts at $29,995 and includes the six-speed manual, 17-inch alloys, a 6.2-inch touchscreen with USB, bluetooth and smartphone integration as well as a leather steering wheel. Adding the Lineartronic CVT is an additional $1,300

The WRX Sport comes in at $32,795 for the manual and $34,095 for the Lineartronic and adds a rear spoiler, LED low beam headlights, a power driver's seat, sunroof and Subaru rear/side vehicle detection (blind spot alerts).

Top of the line is the WRX Sport-Tech ($36,095 for the manual, $37,395 for the Lineartronic). This adds 18-inch allows, proximity key and push button start, 7.0-inch screen with GPS navigation, additional USB ports, a Harman Kardon 440 watt nine speaker stereo, as well as leather seats.

The WRX STI continues with a 305 hp, 2.5L turbo four, paired only with a six-speed manual transmission. It is available in WRX STI ($37,995) with the same features as the base WRX, with the addition of 18-inch wheels.

Next is the WRX STI Sport ($40,795), which adds a large rear spoiler, LED headlights, a power driver's seat, and Subaru's blind spot monitoring.

Finally the WRX STI Sport-Tech, at $45,395, adds 18-inch BBS forged wheels, and all of the features of the WRX Sport-Tech.

The 2017 Subaru WRX and WRX STI lineups should be available at dealers later this year.
