Lamborghini Celebrates 50 Years of Miura

To celebrate 50 years of the Miura, one of the most beautiful car designs of all time and the car that pioneered the two-seat mid-engine sports car and launched the Evolution of Lamborghini, the marque is constructing a special edition Aventador Miura Homage.

Appropriately, just 50 units will be produced. Most of which are probably already sold, and the rest won't be far behind. The original Miuras were sold with a choice of almost any colour the owner desired, most with a contrasting gold or silver sill. The Homage will be available in six of the most popular colours, with the same gold or silver sills. The wheels are 20-inch front and 21-inch rear in your choice of matching flat silver or gold. There will be Miura badges on the side and a black Lambo logo on the rear along with a dash plaque to commemorate the special edition.

Inside will be a choice of nero ade or terra emilia (black or tan) leather with matching stitching and a carbon fibre package. The seat backs will have a 50th anniversary logo stitched in them in gold or silver to match the sill stripe.

The Aventador Miura Homage gets the standard 6.5L V12 producing 700 hp at a stratospheric 8,250 rpm. Top speed is 350 km/h after a 0-100 km/h run of under 3.0 seconds. The car will debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this week.
