2017 Toyota Prius v Gets Price Hike

The 2017 Toyota Prius v doesn't see many changes over the 2016 model, but it does get a small price hike. The price for each trim level will rise by about $350 compared with last year. The big-hatch hybrid v still uses the last-generation Hybrid Synergy Drive system, which means that it has a 1.8L four-cylinder and an electric motor that combine for 136 hp and a fuel economy rating of 5.6 L/100 km. That's a little worse than the smaller Prius, but the v has significantly more space in the larger, more upright hatch area.

The Prius v will start at $28,875 and is equipped with automatic climate control, a 6.1-inch display with Bluetooth and USB connectivity, a back-up camera, and proximity keyless entry. The Luxury package is $30,880 and adds satellite radio, navigation, and heated front seats. The $34,860 Technology package adds the full safety suite with radar cruise, lane departure warning, and collision detection. It also has 17-inch alloys, a sunroof and LED headlights.
