Audi Recalls A8 Over Coolant Leak

Audi has announced a recall of its full-size A8 sedan to fix engine coolant valves that could leak and cause the engine to stall.

According to Transport Canada's recall notice, the leaky valve could deposit coolant on the electronic engine control module (ECM), and that may cause a short-circuit that would shut down the engine without warning.

Audi is instructing its dealer service technicians to replace the coolant valve in the 454 affected cars (sold in model years 2010 through 2013), inspect the ECM for coolant contamination and make any necessary repairs.
