Mini Reveals John Cooper Works Clubman All4

Deciding that they don't yet have every model they make already combined with every special package that they make, Mini has just announced that the John Cooper Works package will be available on the 2017 Mini Clubman. For the first time, this will be available with the newest ALL4 all-wheel drive system.

The John Cooper Works boosts the power of the Cooper S by 39 to a total of 228 hp from the turbocharged four-cylinder. It's combined with a six-speed manual or an optional eight-speed automaticĀ and routed through Mini's latest all-wheel drive system. Mini claims a 0-100 km/h time of 6.3 seconds for both gearboxes.

In addition to the more powerful engine, the JCW gets a sports exhaust, Brembo brakes, and unique 18-inch wheels. Electronic performance aids include an electronic differential lockĀ and Mini's Performance Control system that uses the braking system and alters the power delivery in order to reduce understeer. The suspension is revised for sportier handling and improved dynamics.

The JCW package will come with John Cooper sports seats, air intakes in place of the fog lights, special side sills, a unique rear spoiler, and various logos to let you know which model you've chosen.

The new Mini John Cooper Works Clubman ALL4 should hit Canadian dealer showrooms this winter.
