Cadillac Announces Pricing and Availability for CT6 Plug-In

Pricing has been announced for the all-new 2017 Cadillac CT6 plug-in hybrid. The full-size hybrid sedan will sit in the upper end of the CT6 range and will start at $85,995 when it arrives at dealers in the spring of 2017.

The CT6 plug-in uses a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder in co-operation with two electric motors to put a combined 335 hp and 432 lb-ft through a CVT and rear-wheel drive. The pair of electric motors each produce 100 hp and allow the CT6 to reach 125 km/h on battery power alone. An 18.4 kWh lithium-ion battery pack behind the rear seats allows for an estimated range of 48 km on electric power. Cadillac claims an estimated fuel economy rating of 3.6 Le/100 km. That is roughly double the economy of the V6 gas CT6, with similar acceleration.

Cadillac is positioning the CT6 plug-in alongside the current Premium Luxury trim as the second highest trim of the CT6 lineup, underneath the Platinum models. It will be available only in one trim level, and will include a rear seat infotainment system, night vision, and rear camera mirror. The MSRP represents a premium of $13,790 compared with the all-wheel drive only 3.6L gas Premium Luxury trim CT6.

The 48 km electric range should allow it to qualify for an electric vehicle incentive of up to $3,000 in Ontario or $8,000 in Quebec when it arrives in 2017, but the price puts it above the $77,000 cutoff to qualify for rebates in British Columbia.
