Porsche Bringing Sport Driving School to Canada

Porsche is bringing their Porsche Sport Driving School program to Canada this year. While Porsche's Camp4 winter driving experience has been here for nearly a decade, this is the first time the summer version of the high-performance driving school will be held here.

The Porsche Sport Driving School started 40 years ago at the Hockenheimring in Germany. The school is designed to help owners, or any drivers who want to sign up, to learn to be faster and more in control while experiencing what a modern Porsche is capable of on the track. There are five classes on offer, starting with the basic Precision class. That class offers classroom sessions discussing vehicle dynamics and then includes skidpad, autocross, and track driving sessions. The top class is the Masters RSR. A four-day class that adds data and video analysis to car control skills and provides extra track time to learn and master heel and toe downshifting, skid control, and more.

The PSDS program offers seat time in a range of Porsche cars from the 718 Boxster all the way up to the 911 GT3 RS, depending on course chosen and availability. The school will be held at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in Bowmanville, ON, starting this May. The course will start at $2,495.
