Subaru Announces Pricing for Refreshed 2018 WRX STI

Subaru has just released pricing and changes for the 2018 WRX STI: The fastest Subaru will start from $39,495 when it arrives at dealers later this year.

While it still doesn't ride on the new Impreza platform, Subaru has made some changes to the STI for 2018. It gets a new front bumper and grille with revised lower air intakes, and the trim on the doors is changed to help freshen up the look.

Underneath, Subaru has revised the suspension tuning to improve ride and handling. There are also new Brembo brakes, with six-piston calipers up front and two-piston units in the rear. The headlights are now adaptive to respond to the steering and improve visibility.

Subaru has quieted down the cabin, and there is an updated instrument panel with new gauge clusters and a new rear armrest.

Power comes from the carryover 2.5L turbocharged boxer four that makes 305 hp and 290 lb-ft. The only transmission is a six-speed manual, and Subaru's all-wheel drive is standard.

Sport trim adds 19-inch alloys, rear and side vehicle detection, automatic headlights, power adjustment to the driver's seat, a rear wing, and a glass sunroof.

The Sport Tech model adds Ultrasuede and leather Recaro performance seats, proximity key with push-button start, Harman Kardon stereo with a 7.0-inch touchscreen and navigation, and new Starlink apps including Yelp and parking apps.

2018 WRX STI Pricing:
WRX STI $39,495
WRX STI Sport $41,795
