The Toyota Sienna gets some new standard technology and safety features for 2018, along with a slight price increase.
Now on sale, the base seven-passenger Sienna has a starting price of $34,690, a $1,000 increase over 2017.
The LE eight-passenger is priced at $38,090 (a $1,075 increase), the SE eight-passenger goes for $41,590 ($1,085 more than 2017), while the Limited seven-passenger trim starts at $50,690, which represents an $1,810 jump.
Toyota also offers the Sienna in all-wheel drive, with an LE AWD ($40,890) and XLE AWD ($46,090). New for 2018 is what Toyota calls Entune 3.0 Audio, which are a host of in-vehicle connectivity features.
The Entune App Suite Connect allows drivers to get traffic information, weather, fuel prices and more. It also includes Scout GPS Link, which works with smartphone-based navigation tools.
LE and SE trims get Entune 3.0 Plus, which adds Safety Connect to allow for automatic collision notification, stolen vehicle tracker, an emergency assistance button and enhanced roadside assistance, Toyota says.
The system is further enhanced on the XLE and Limited trims to include premium audio, as well as an embedded navigation system and Entune Destination Assist. Toyota Safety Sense P is also now standard for 2018.
The package brings with it a host of technologies such as a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, lane departure alert with steering assist, automatic high beams and dynamic radar cruise control.
That is on top of the Toyota Star Safety System, also standard. That has eight airbags, active front headrests with whiplash protection, a back-up camera and more.
A 3.5-litre six-cylinder engine, delivering 296 hp and 263 lb-ft of torque, powers all Sienna models. It is paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
