In a bid to capitalize on the Mustang's long history of inspiring owners to customize their cars, Ford has launched the Personalize Your Pony fan art campaign to let enthusiasts of the muscle car create their own custom car badges and t-shirt designs.
Ford has set up a website where you can apply your own design to the iconic Mustang galloping horse logo. Ford provides colour editing capabilities and a variety of style packs based on Mustang variants bearing the Shelby, Roush, Bullitt and RTR labels, and the company wants you to combine those with your personal creative style to create your ideal Mustang badge.
Once your creation is complete, you can have your design brought to life on a t-shirt or, for the first 1,000 users, on a custom badge to place on the grille of your 2015 Ford Mustang and later models. And if you give Ford your permission, the company could use your design in an ad campaign for the 2018 Mustang that includes roadside billboards, on which your creation would be displayed along with your name.
Other physical vehicles for your design include mugs, phone cases and decals, available through a third-party supplier.
