Buick is adding a new trim to the LaCrosse. The Sport Touring version of the sedan gets a more stylish appearance and a badge that looks a bit familiar for 2019.
The Sport Touring trim of the LaCrosse adds a monochromatic appearance to the car. The grille surround and side vents are chrome on other trims, but body colour here. Other touches to the model include a small rear spoiler and a black mesh grille. 19-inch midnight silver wheels are standard. The Sport Touring wears a large ST badge on the trunklid, but don't mistake that for the similar performance badge from Ford.
"The LaCrosse ST emphasizes the importance of design, while also complementing the safety, refinement and technology of our flagship sedan," said Phil Brook, vice president of Buick and GMC Marketing.
Under the hood of the LaCrosse is a 310 hp, 3.6L V6 combined with a nine-speed automatic. The new trim slots in between the Essence and Premium trim levels, which puts it right in the middle of the LaCrosse lineup.
The 2019 Buick LaCrosse ST will come in five shades; white frost, satin steel, quicksilver, red quartz, and ebony twilight. It will arrive at dealers this summer, starting from $42,195.
Other changes for 2019 include two new colour options on the rest of the line, and the Avenir adds an ionizing air filter to clean and deodorize the cabin air.
