Ram 1500 Sport, Rebel Add New Luxury And Tech Options

Ram has announced a new option package for the 1500 pickup that brings new luxury and technology to the truck's Rebel and Canada-only Sport trims.

Dubbed the Leather and Sound package, the new option group brings leather seating to the off-road ready Rebel trim for the first time, along with a 900-watt sound system controlled through a Uconnect 4C infotainment system with a 12-inch touchscreen that Ram says is the largest in the pickup class.

Ram says the 12-inch Uconnect 4C system boasts better processing power, multi-touch gestures, sharper graphics, split-screen capability and smartphone integration support.

To Rebel trimmed trucks, the new package also brings leather seating, heated front seats and red metal speaker grilles. Sport variants get leather upholstery and heated and ventilated front seats with a unique embossed texture.

The Harman/Kardon sound system puts its 900 watts through 19 speakers and a 10-inch subwoofer, and also boasts active noise cancellation.

Ram says the Leather and Sound package is available on all Sport and Rebel models regardless of configuration, adding $3,590 to Quad Cab trucks and $3,895 to Crew Cab versions.
