Toyota brought the all-new 2020 GR Supra to Canada to reveal it at the Canadian International Auto Show today. And with that arrival, we get pricing for the new sports car. It's set to show up at dealerships this summer and start just under $65,000.
The 2020 Supra has been one of the most anticipated cars of the last decade since the rumours first started back in 2012. When Toyota announced a sports-car tie-up with BMW. It hasn't hurt that prior to the car's Detroit-show reveal they had let us see it about a thousand times wearing various states of camouflage.
Toyota is keeping the Supra as a front-engine, rear-drive coupe, and it still gets a turbocharged inline six. In this case a 3.0L unit with 335 hp and 365 lb-ft of torque. No, it won't get a manual box, but it will hit 100 km/h in a hair over four seconds. It has a near 50:50 weight distribution, and since it's a Toyota it will still be loaded with active safety features.
When the new Supra arrives in Canada it will start for $64,990. Though no word on options and how much more they would cost.
