Lexus Cuts 2020 NX 300h Hybrid Price by $4,600

Lexus has priced its NX compact crossover for 2020 starting at $44,150 for the standard NX 300 and $46,650 for the gas-electric hybrid NX 300h.

The hybrid model's new starting price is a $4,600 cut compared to the 2019 model as Lexus has moved a number of formerly standard features to the NX 300h's options list. Notable among those items are a power tailgate and sunroof.

Lexus has also adjusted pricing for the NX 300h's Premium ($50,600) and Executive ($59,300) packages. The former is $5,300 less expensive this year, while the latter's price is down $3,500. Those reductions appear to be linked to features no longer offered in the NX 300h, like an embedded navigation system formerly included in the Premium model and triple-beam LED headlights that used to be part of the Executive pack.

Prices for the standard NX 300's option packages (Premium, Luxury, Executive, and F Sport Series 1, 2 and 3) are all within $100 of the 2019 model's figures.

Earlier this year, Lexus announced it is moving NX production to Cambridge, Ontario, in 2022, which will mark the first time the small utility will be built outside of Japan.

The NX was Lexus's second-best-selling model in 2018, after the mid-size RX crossover.
