Just in time for it to get really cold, Jeep has announced a North Edition package for three of its vehicles that adds some very popular cold-weather features. Along with some accessories to help out in case things get a little too slippery.
The North Edition package will be offered for the 2020 Jeep Gladiator, Wrangler, and Grand Cherokee, on the Overland, Sahara, and Laredo trims, respectively. It comes with cold-weather friendly features like heated front seats and a heated steering wheel. There's also a remote start system and power heated mirrors to help ease your morning scrape. Protecting the interior are all-weather mats that catch the slush and snow from your boots.
Not necessarily of help with the cold but still nice to have are an 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen infotainment system and SiriusXM Travel Link Weather, which can provide detailed national and local weather through the Uconnect screen. Being Jeeps ready for winter, they're equipped with four-wheel drive.
Jeep is also fitting winter-appropriate tires, listing that they'll come with "all-season or all-terrain tires for severe snow conditions and winter traction performance." However, we know that all-season doesn't mean winter, so we've reached out to Jeep Canada for clarification of the rubber.
The one feature you'll especially hope not to need is the Jeep Trail Rated kit. It's an emergency kit that includes a D-ring that attaches to the tow hooks included with the package, a carabiner, and a recovery strap to help you pull a stuck vehicle, or should you get overly ambitious, be used to pull you out of the snow. The kit also comes with gloves for cold-weather recovery.

All three models are available for sale and to order from Jeep now. The package runs $2,495 on Gladiator Overland, $2,995 on Wrangler Sahara, and $3,495 on Grand Cherokee Laredo.
