5-Year-Old Steals Mom’s Car to Buy a Lamborghini

Highway patrol officers in Utah pulled over an SUV for what they thought was an impaired driving offence, but they discovered a 5-year-old boy behind the wheel. According to the Utah Highway Patrol Twitter account, the boy stole his parent’s car after having a fight with his mom because she told him she would not buy him a Lamborghini.

He grabbed the keys and started driving to California and amazingly made it onto the freeway before getting pulled over. He had $3 in his possession.

In the police dashcam footage, you can see the SUV drifting around lanes on the highway travelling about 48 km/h (30 mph), but amazingly, the kid was able to safely pull the car over in the shoulder. “Where did you learn how to drive a car?” the officer asks in the video.

Luckily, no one was injured and according to CNN, the boy was with his siblings and his parents weren't home at the time. The local prosecutor will decide whether or not to press charges against the parents.

It’s amazing that the child knew how to drive, assumed all Lamborghinis come from California, and knew to pull over for the flashing lights … some adults don’t even know that.
