Hyundai Canada Offering Discounted Pricing to First Responders, Health Care Workers

Hyundai Canada has announced that it will be offering discounted pricing on its vehicles to first responders and health care workers in recognition of their service during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Starting immediately, first responders and health care workers will only have to pay the same wholesale price that Hyundai charges its dealers to buy cars. The discount applies to the purchase, finance, or lease of any Hyundai vehicle and can be bundled with other offers. The discount is available to (but not limited to) paramedics, firefighters, corrections officers, hospital staff, and long-term care employees.

“Our first responders and health care workers have shown immense strength, resilience and compassion during this pandemic. Giving back to those who have given so much to our communities is undeniably the right thing to do,” said Don Romano, President and CEO of Hyundai Canada in a press release. “We’ve created this program to show our appreciation and offer a heartfelt thank-you for their remarkable work.”

Hyundai Canada also donated 152,000 pairs of gloves and 100,000 masks to health care workers at Markham Stouffville Hospital in April.

For others who are not health care workers and may be experiencing financial uncertainty during the pandemic, Hyundai is offering payment deferrals, lease extensions, and complimentary extended warranty coverage. Warranties that were set to expire between March 1 and May 31, 2020, have been extended to June 30, 2020. Hyundai dealerships have also implemented many measures to keep their staff and customers safe. For more information on how Hyundai is helping during COVID-19, visit its dedicated website.

Hyundai’s offer is valid until July 31, 2020 at any local Hyundai dealership.
