Semi-Finalists for 2021 North American Car, Utility and Truck of the Year Announced

A jury of 50 respected automotive journalists has voted to shortlist 27 new vehicles for the 2021 North American Car, Utility and Truck of the Year (NACTOY) Awards.

Vehicles that are all-new for 2021 or significantly changed are eligible for the prestigious award, and the vehicles in this semi-finalist shortlist will be whittled down to three vehicles in each category.

“Many of the new models on our semifinalist list make bold statements that are intended to distinguish them within their segments,” NACTOY President Gary Witzenburg said in a press release. “Several are all-electric, while others have groundbreaking designs or off-the-charts capabilities. It will be fascinating to see which risks pay off this year as our evaluation process continues.”

Finalists will be announced in December, while the winners will be revealed in January 2021.
