The Subaru Impreza holds its crown as the most affordable all-wheel-drive vehicle for sale in Canada for 2021 while expanding the availability of a heated steering wheel and automatic headlights. The Subaru Outback crossover and Legacy sedan both get a slight price increase, adding $300 to the MSRP of each while also adding a heated steering wheel to more trim levels than last year.
From $19,995 with a five-speed manual gearbox, the 2021 Subaru Impreza stays the cheapest new vehicle with AWD offered in the country. Add a CVT for $2,000, and it keeps that title, while picking the five-door hatch adds $1,000 to the price of the sedan.
The Subaru Impreza is offered for 2021 in four trim levels. All CVT models are equipped with EyeSight, Subaru's suite of active safety driver assistance features. For this year, Subaru has added a heated steering wheel to the Touring trim, and it's still included on Sport, and Sport-Tech trims. Automatic lights are offered across the board.
The 2021 Subaru Outback comes in seven trim levels, starting from $30,995, a $300 increase from last year, while its sedan counterpart, the Legacy, rings in the new model year with a similar increase to $26,695. Subaru has added LED steering responsive headlights on all models of both the Outback and the Legacy, with both models also getting a rear seatbelt reminder on all trims and a heated steering wheel standard on Touring trims and above.
The Outback and Legacy come standard with all-wheel drive and a CVT, with base models offering a 2.5L four-cylinder engine while the Outback XT and Legacy GT a 2.4L turbocharged flat-four engine.
Subaru's 2021 models will hit showrooms this fall.
