Pricing for All-New 2022 Hyundai Tucson Announced

Pricing for the 2022 Hyundai Tucson has just been announced. The restyled crossover gets new engines, its first-ever hybrid powertrain, and a load of available driver aids and technology, though the price climbs as well. The new Tuscon will start from $27,699, an increase of $1,600 over the model it replaces.

The Tucson is one of Hyundai's best-selling models, and that's likely to continue now that it has grown larger and adopted the brand's new grille and the rest of the styling that goes with it. The base engine is a new 2.6L four-cylinder making 187 hp with a new Hybrid model offering a 1.6L turbo four-cylinder along with a 59-hp electric motor. A plug-in hybrid (PHEV) model will be offered, though it won't arrive until much later.

A new 10.25-inch digital dash cluster is joined by the wireless versions of both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with an 8.0-inch infotainment screen. Hyundai's Remote Smart Park Assist, which can move a car straight into or out of a parking space without a driver behind the wheel, will be offered as well.

Other driver assistance features include forward collision avoidance with cyclist and junction turning detection, Highway Driving Assist lane centring, and navigation-enabled adaptive cruise control.

The 2022 Hyundai Tucson, N Line, and Hybrid models will arrive at dealers this April, while the PHEV model should follow sometime in the summer. Expect pricing for the PHEV to come later.
