Mitsubishi has just announced pricing for the 2023 Outlander. Both the conventional gas-only version and the second-generation plug-in hybrid arrive this fall. The non-hybrid Outlander starts from $32,698, the PHEV from $46,538.
A 2.5L four-cylinder engine making 181 hp and 181 lb-ft of torque drives the 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander, which includes standard all-wheel drive. Also standard is an array of advanced driver assists including forward collision mitigation, blind-spot warning, rear automatic emergency braking, and lane-departure warning. LED headlights, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are also included on the base ES model.
The SE trim adds a power liftgate, panoramic sunroof, heated steering wheel, three-zone climate control, and heated front seats. LE upgrades the 18-inch alloy wheels to 20 inches, the 8.0-inch infotainment screen to 9.0 inches; and adds navigation, adaptive cruise control, and a 360-degree surround view camera. LE Premium comes with faux-suede seats and a power driver seat.
The SEL trim offers quilted leather seats, a 12.3-inch digital dash, and a memory function for the mirrors and power seats. The GT trim adds the "Mi-Pilot" highway driving assistant, front parking sensors, head-up display, and Bose audio system. At the top of the line, GT Premium adds semi-aniline leather seats.
The Outlander PHEV comes with a 2.4L four-cylinder and a pair of electric motors for a total of 247 hp and 332 lb-ft of torque. The twin motor system allows AWD in electric drive modes. The 20-kWh battery gives the Outlander PHEV an estimated range of 61 km, the most of any three-row crossover and it returns an estimated 3.6 Le/100 km.
The 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV is equipped much like the standard version but adds a 12.3-inch digital dash to all trim levels. The plug-in is offered in ES, LE, SEL, GT, and GT Premium grades.
Mitsubishi Canada says the 2023 Outlander should arrive at dealers this month with the PHEV on sale in November.
