Refreshed 2024 Kia Seltos Debuts with Huge New Screen

The 2024 Kia Seltos just made its debut at the L.A. Auto Show, bolstering an already strong subcompact SUV lineup with small but meaningful improvements throughout.

In addition to a 20-hp boost from the 1.6L turbocharged four-cylinder engine for a total of 195, the biggest change is the available wide new instrument panel, which houses the 10.25-inch digital gauges and the 10.25-inch touchscreen under a single panel of glass, making it look huge and like something found in a luxury car. There are also more USB ports inside, and a newly available power liftgate and ventilated front seats. The crossover is also now capable of over-the-air updates and has phone or smartwatch as key functionality. Kia has also added a lot of safety and driver assistance features.

In a new Pluton Blue colour that gives the small crossover some added personality, the 2024 Kia Seltos also gains a new X-Line trim that adds even more visual flair like unique 18-inch wheels, gunmetal and gloss black finishes, a special roof rack, and more. Visually, the refreshed Seltos doesn't look too different, but little changes have been made throughout to streamline the design while also making it look more rugged.

The base 2.0L engine is still paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT), but turbo models now get an upgraded eight-speed automatic, up from seven speeds previously.

The 2024 Kia Seltos is expected to be available in the first half of 2023 and will be available with front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive.
