2024 Cadillac XT4 Refreshed with Slim Headlights, Bigger Screens

The 2024 Cadillac XT4 is getting new screens, luxury upgrades, and new front lights that might just set a record for how thin automakers can make modern accent lighting.

Cadillac's facelift for the 2024 XT4 crossover includes those new LED headlamps as well as a new grille. Because the headlights are now further down in the bumper, the total front light signature shrinks. That allowed Cadillac stylists to make the grille much wider, and the effect is a compact SUV that looks larger when seen from the front.

The inside is where the brand has made bigger changes. The highlight of the interior refresh is the new 33-inch diagonal screen that includes the dashboard and infotainment displays and shows them in 9K resolution.

Cadillac's new big screen is borrowed from the Lyriq EV. Like in its electric sibling, the display curves around the driver to maximize the view and make it feel more like a cockpit inside.

Other luxury upgrades for 2024 include a new audio system. A 13-speaker AKG system replaces the old top-tier Bose system. Expect it to offer a much better soundstage than the lacklustre Bose offering.

Cadillac says that it will also be adding new interior colour and trim choices. New brushed aluminum trim will be part of that and there will be carbon fibre or wood, depending on the trim, along with new seat embroidery.

Standard driver assistance tech will include blind zone steering assist, rear cross-traffic braking, and lane keep assist. What won't be offered is Cadillac's hands-free Super Cruise semi-autonomous driving system.

The powertrain carries over from the 2023 model. A 235-hp 2.0L turbo four-cylinder will have a nine-speed automatic transmission. The twin-clutch AWD system will be an option, and Cadillac will continue to offer some front-wheel drive variants. The 2024 Cadillac XT4 goes on sale this summer in Luxury, Premium, Luxury, and Sport grades. Expect pricing just before the model arrives at dealers.
