Pricing and features for the 2025 Volvo EX30 have just been announced. The company's new fully electric compact crossover will arrive in Canada with up to 442 km of range and a starting price of $53,700 (before destination fees).
Earlier this year, Volvo unveiled the 2025 EX30 crossover by championing its focus on sustainability. The model is designed to have the lowest carbon footprint of any vehicle Volvo has ever built, and it will come with natural and recycled materials that should ensure that buyers who want more sustainable materials will not miss out on premium appointments.
The Volvo EX30 lineup starts with the EX30 Core. That model gets a heated steering wheel and heated front seats. It will also have Google built-in with Google Maps and Google Assistant and a full range of advanced driver assistance features.
The EX30 Core will be sold only with the single motor extended range driveline, delivering an estimated 442 km of range and 272 hp through the rear wheels. The 69-kWh battery can be charged at 175 kW, allowing a claimed 27-minute charge from 10 to 80 per cent.
The Plus Package trim grades add a Harmon Kardon Premium Sound system, a panoramic roof, and 19-inch wheels. Ultra, the top grade, offers 360 cameras with 3D view, Park Pilot Assist, and Volvo's Pilot Assist with lane change assistance highway driving assistant.
Volvo will sell Plus and Ultra trims with the single motor extended range driveline, but also as Twin Motor Performance models. Twin Motor Performance models are the fastest-accelerating Volvo cars ever, hitting 100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds. They will have 422 hp combined from the front and rear motors. The final range figures for that driveline have not yet been confirmed, but the model will have the same 69-kWh battery.
Volvo is opening reservations for Canadian buyers later this fall. Deliveries are set to start next summer. Volvo said the EX30 will be the third model in its "One Price Promise," which it says will have a "straightforward, transparent, and negotiation-free shopping experience."
