2024 Toyota bZ4X Lineup Simplified, Pricing Announced

Pricing for the 2024 Toyota bZ4X has been announced. The company's electric SUV gets new features this year meant to better inform the driver when it comes to charging to help make trip planning easier.

Those upgrades to the information display give the driver details like the current state of charge and the estimated vehicle range. The bZ4X will also show the driver an estimated time to reach 80 per cent charge. EVs charge most quickly until they reach 80 per cent, at which point charge speeds plummet, so most owners only fast charge until they hit that 80 per cent mark.

As a bonus, owners of 2023 model year bZ4X models can get the information upgrades. A software update at the dealer will take care of it.

Toyota says that DC fast charge times have been improved in cold weather conditions. A water-to-water heat exchanger for the battery thermal system helps keep the battery warm in the cold, which allows for that faster charging.

Power and range remain the same. The bZ4X offers the LE model with front-wheel drive, a 406-km estimated range, and 201 hp. It also offers XLE models with dual-motor AWD, 214 hp, and 367 km of estimated range.

Toyota has increased pricing for 2024 by dropping the base L model. The lineup starts with the $50,050 LE model, which is $150 more than last year. The XLE model starts from $55,050, and the XLE Technology Package starts from $62,640.

The 2024 Toyota bZ4X is on sale now at dealers in Quebec and B.C. Toyota Canada said that sales start there, where demand is highest, and that it will bring the bZ4X to the rest of Canada when it has enough production to supply the other provinces.

2024 Toyota bZ4X Canadian pricing:

  • LE FWD $50,050
  • XLE AWD $55,050
  • XLE Technology Package $62,640
