2025 Cadillac CT5-V and Blackwing Get Updated Tech and Better Performance App

Straight off of the best year for V Series and Blackwing sales yet, Cadillac is refreshing those versions of the CT5 sedan. The 2025 Cadillac CT5 V and Blackwing get updated interior and exterior trim, but the performance stays the same as last year.

The exterior changes are small. Cadillac is giving the faster CT5s new grilles and making small changes to the brand's stacked headlight signature. The Blackwing model also gets its own refreshed grille that is larger with bigger air intakes. The Blackwing will also have more carbon fibre exterior trim, including a new available front splitter.

On the inside, the 2025 CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing get a 33-inch colour touchscreen display that merges the dashboard and centre screen into one seamless bezel. The new screen runs Google built-in, which adds Google Assistant, Google Maps, and other apps through the Google Play Store.

The Performance Data Recorder, the V's telemetry app, has been upgraded for 2025. New this year, it can show real-time horsepower, torque, and boost displays, as well as other gauges and on-track lap analysis. The new performance app can pause and replay the car's real-time telemetry, letting the driver review the car's responses and other crucial details later on.

One big change is somewhere the driver will likely never see it. Cadillac has added an illuminated brand crest on the rear of the big centre screen, illuminating your badge to oncoming traffic or those looking at you in their rear view.

Both fast Caddys get the same drivelines as before. The CT5-V has a 3.0L twin-turbo V6 with 360 hp and 405 lb-ft of torque, with a 10-speed automatic, standard rear-drive, and optional AWD. The 2025 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing has a 6.2L 668-hp supercharged V8, driving the rear tires through a 10-speed auto or a six-speed manual transmission.

The 2025 Cadillac CT5 V-Series models will arrive at dealers later this year to help celebrate 20 years of V. Expect pricing similar to the outgoing cars, to be announced closer to the start of production.
