Refreshed 2025 Aston Martin Vantage Gets 128-HP Boost

The 2025 Aston Martin Vantage is getting a facelift. The new front end is fantastic and the interior looks much more luxurious, but the big update occurs under the hood, where the new Vantage picks up a load of horsepower.

A larger grille doesn't often improve a car's looks, but in this case, it absolutely does. The taller and wider grille, with much more rounded headlights, completely changes the look. It makes the 2025 Aston Martin Vantage feel more modern and more on brand.

The big new grille is more functional, as well. It allows 29 per cent more air to the radiator (and 50 per cent more to the oil coolers) than the prior car's, which should seriously improve its track performance.

Aston Martin's 4.0L twin-turbo V8 has Mercedes-AMG roots, but the Brits have given it a serious boost. New turbos, new camshafts, and higher compression ratios all help the car use the extra cooling capacity. The result is 656 hp, 128 more than last year, and torque is also up by 85 lb-ft to 590. The car uses an eight-speed automatic transmission with a new final drive ratio that should boost acceleration even more.

The car is now stiffer for better cornering. It also has suspension upgrades, including adaptive dampers with a 500 per cent increase in adjustability compared with the old ones. A new six-axis sensor lets the computers better tailor the new dynamics control computer's outputs to road conditions and the driver's desires.

Aston's changes inside all but copy the DB12's. There is a new centre console, a touchscreen infotainment system, and a single instrument display for the dash. The gear selector is now tiny, and there are fewer buttons, but it looks more modern, more posh, and it looks like it will be a better layout ergonomically. Bridge of Weir hand-stitched hides make sure everything is covered in a sufficiently supple surface, and you will inevitably see a wide range of Q by Aston Martin customizations.

Production of the 2025 Aston Martin Vantage is set to start this quarter. Deliveries start in Q2 of this year. There is no word yet on the price, but it's likely not much of a concern to potential buyers.
