2025 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing is Even More Hardcore with the New Precision Package

Cadillac has just added a third tier to its performance game. Not only can CT5 buyers opt for the V package and the Blackwing package, but now, the most hardcore enthusiasts among them can also get the Precision Package.

“We built this vehicle to set records on some of the toughest tracks around the world,” said Brandon Vivian, executive chief engineer for subsystem optimization and brand coordination at Cadillac. “This new advanced chassis package will enable the CT5-V Blackwing [to] be incredibly light on its feet at all speeds both on road and on track.”

Although the new offering does not make any changes to the already impressive 6.2-liter V8 (which makes 668 horsepower and 659 lb-ft of torque), it does modify chassis calibration with a view to improving the CT5-V Blackwing’s cornering ability.

The Precision Package recalibrates the Magnetic Ride dampers, revises track camber alignment, increases the spring and bushing rates, introduces new rear toe links, modifies the front steering knuckles, retunes the chassis and the electronic limited-slip differential, and adds the carbon ceramic brake package to the car. According to Cadillac, taken altogether, the chassis modifications improve steering precision on the way into a corner and increases stability on the way out of it.

The package will join other modifications made to the rest of the CT5-V lineup for the 2025 model year, including a front fascia that has been redesigned for better aerodynamics, an available performance data recorder, a new in-vehicle Performance app, a 33-inch touchscreen, and three new colours (Drift Metallic, Deep Space Metallic, and Typhoon Metallic).

Production of CT5-V Blackwings with the Performance Package will begin in early 2025, but prices for it have not yet been announced.
