autoTRADER.ca Top 10 Most Searched Vehicles in 2014

Canadians stick with bread and butter options when searching for a car in 2014

When it comes to retail, consumers in Canada tend to stick with what they know. It's as true for cars and trucks as anything else you'd find with a price tag.

autoTRADER.ca has compiled its latest search statistics from across the country and broken it down by province, showing a good mix of both city and country buying habits for 2014.

"The vast majority of Canada is unequivocally truck country," says Ian MacDonald, Director of Marketing at autoTRADER.ca. "But this year's list proves that there is more than healthy demand for passenger and city-friendly vehicles, both import and domestic."

Unlike 2013, which was dominated by pickups, this year sees a wide swath of vehicles -- from compacts and SUVs to sports cars and, of course, pickups.
