Cadillac has just released pricing for its latest sedan. The CT5 will arrive at Canadian Cadillac showrooms in the second quarter of next year, and it'll start from just under $42,000.
The compact CT5 sedan is the first of Cadillac's sedans to adopt the Luxury and Sport trim separation that the company's three crossovers follow already. The Luxury version is aimed at drivers looking for a more luxurious experience, while the Sport line swaps chrome for dark trim, adds ZF dampers, and Brembo front brakes.
The automaker is making all-wheel drive available on all trims of CT5, which is rear-drive to start, and Cadillac has said that heated front seats and a heated steering wheel will be standard on Canadian cars.
Three engines will be offered on CT5. The base choice for Luxury and Sport is a 2.0L turbo-four putting out 237 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. Two flavours of 3.0L twin-turbo V6 will be offered, the first a 335-hp, 400-lb-ft version for the Premium Luxury variant and the second making 360 hp and 405 lb-ft of torque that's exclusive to the CT5-V. All the engines will come with a 10-speed automatic.
