Ford Edge ST-Line Debuts as New Appearance Package

Ford has just unveiled the Edge ST-line for drivers who like the look of the performance SUV but don’t actually want the upgraded performance. The new appearance package will add interior and exterior styling elements from the ST to the Edge but not any of the performance upgrades.

The Edge ST-Line gets the blacked-out grille, body-coloured bumpers, black beltline molding and lower body cladding, standard fog lamps, LED lighting, black roof rack rails, and 20-inch black wheels.

The full Ford Edge ST is powered by a twin-turbo 2.7L V6 with 355 hp and 380 lb-ft of torque, but the ST-Line version will continue to be powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 250 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque (with 93-octane fuel).

The 2020 Ford Edge ST-Line starts at $40,799, which is $8,600 less than the full ST model’s price of $49,399. It comes standard with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, lane-keep assist, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring with cross traffic alert, automatic highbeams, reverse camera with washer, and more. Adaptive full-speed cruise control, evasive steering assist, lane-centering, a parking assistant, all-wheel drive, a heated steering wheel, and a hands-free liftgate are optional.

Ford’s assembly facility in Oakville, Ont., resumed production on Monday, May 25, and this is where the Edge lineup is built for our market.
