The 2021 Toyota Tundra is here, and the Japanese automaker has added a new Trail model, adding a new set of dark wheels, side steps, a new grille surround, and black seats with tan stitching to 4x4 Crew Max trucks with the package. The lineup is simplified to now offer just two double-cab models, and the only two-wheel-drive truck is gone (4x2 Double Cab LB), but there are still 12 total configurations of Tundra. And while most trims are unchanged, the pricing isn't much different either, starting from $46,610.
That base double-cab SR5 trim pickup offers a 5.7L V8 making 381 hp and 401 lb-ft of torque. It's matched to a six-speed automatic transmission and comes with a factory tow package including transmission cooler, hitch, brake controller, and wiring. All Tundras also include Toyota Safety Sense P that has lane departure and frontal collision warning, auto high beams, and radar cruise control.
On top of SR5, double cab trucks will come as TRD Off Road with all-terrain tires, dual climate control, and Bilstein shocks, and TRD Sport Premium with a hood scoop, bed liner, leather seats, and other comfort and cosmetic upgrades.
Crewmax starts with the SR5, then adds the already discussed Trail, TRD Off Road, TRD Off Road Premium (all-terrain tires, Bilstein shocks, and more active safety and comfort features, TRD Sport Premium with even more goodies and a TRD Pro package that loads up LED headlights, 18-inch TRD wheels, all-terrain tires, power moonroof, JBL Audio, and Fox shocks. Top-trim is the Crewmax Platinum that turns the Tundra into a luxury truck and makes available a special 1794 edition with more leather, woodgrain, and other snazzy truck tricks.
