2021 Hyundai Sonata N Line Brings Sporty Character to Eccentric Sedan

Hyundai has been hitting us with a flurry of sporty N Line products recently and with this week's debut of the 2021 Sonata N Line, the performance sub-brand is showing no signs of slowing down.

The Hyundai Sonata N Line builds on the already quirky character of the sedan with a pronounced wide-mouth grille flanked by large side air intakes, which is joined by N Line side skirts, an N Line rear diffuser, and twin dual exhaust tips.

Another major contributor to the sporty appearance of the Sonata N Line are the standard 19-inch alloy wheels, which “provide an aggressive stance that suggests that fun is just around the corner—any corner,” Hyundai cheekily points out.

Inside, the N Line is set apart from the regular Sonata with dark chrome trim, N Line contrasting red stitching and sport seats.

“The 2021 Sonata N Line will attract more customers to both the rock solid Sonata lineup and our increasingly popular N Line sub-brand,” said Hyundai designer SangYup Lee. “Sonata N Line will appeal to customers who desire sporty styling in a sedan package.”

Hyundai is staying tight-lipped on the engine for the 2021 Sonata N Line. Rumours allege the sedan could receive a turbocharged 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine, though Hyundai has yet to confirm either way. In an interview with Autoblog last year, the automaker also said the sport sedan would have at least 275 horsepower on tap.

More information on the Hyundai Sonata N Line is expected in the coming months.
