Pricing for All-New 2022 Toyota Tundra Announced

The Toyota Tundra full-size pickup is all-new for 2022, which marks the first time in 15 years that the truck has been completely redesigned. Changes include an all-new 3.5L twin-turbo V6, a stiffer frame with more towing and hauling capability, more driver assistance features, and even an upcoming hybrid powertrain. Pricing for the 2022 Toyota Tundra pickup has been announced and it will arrive at dealers early next month with a lower starting price than the model it replaces.

The 2022 Toyota Tundra will start from $44,990 (plus the $1,850 destination fee) for an SR trim truck with a double-cab, 6.5-foot bed, and rear-wheel drive. That rear-drive model is a new addition that has helped lower the price of entry. For 4x4 models, the SR starts from $48,290, which is $1,280 more than last year's base 4x4 truck.

Standard equipment includes a version of the 3.5L V6 that makes 348 hp and 405 lb-ft. All trims higher than SR make 389 hp and 479 lb-ft (the hybrid model will make 437 hp and 583 lb-ft, but wasn't priced in this announcement) and all will get a 10-speed automatic transmission. An all-new Toyota multimedia system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto gets an 8.0-inch screen, and standard safety gear includes Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 with sway warning, intersection pedestrian detection, pre-collision system braking, lane tracing, and radar cruise control.

The SR5 trim offers double or crew cabs with bed choices of 6.5-feet or 8.1-feet for the former and 5.5 or 6.5 for the latter. It adds 18-inch alloy wheels, power adjustable and heated front seats, and a heated steering wheel as well as a bigger fuel tank.

The TRD Sport trim gets both cabs with the short bed and adds 20-inch alloy wheels, a TRD grille, sport-tuned shocks, blind spot monitoring, and parking assist. The TRD Off Road model has 18-inch alloys instead, wearing off-road tires as well as off-road shocks and a locking rear differential.

The Tundra Limited comes in double-cab short-bed and crew cab with long or short, with 20-inch alloys, 14.0-inch screen, Softex seats (that add ventilation) power-folding mirrors, wireless charging, and panoramic roof. It can be had with the TRD Off Road pack with special wheels, multi-terrain monitor camera, and TRD shocks and locking differential.

The Platinum comes as crew cab only with semi-aniline leather, camera rear view mirror, head-up display, active noise control, trailer backup guide, and more. Sitting at the top of the line is the 1794 Edition with unique badges, real wood trim, and saddle tan leather.

The 2022 Toyota Tundra is set to hit dealers in Canada on December 3.
