History/Overview
The Infiniti QX60 is the luxury brand's mid-size SUV model, a seven-seater based on the Nissan Pathfinder. Infiniti introduced this model in 2013 as the JX35 and renamed it QX60 in 2014.
What's New / Key Changes from Last Year
For 2020, the QX60's standard features are arranged in a quartet of trim levels, replacing last year's single trim and variety of option packages.
Available Trims
QX60 trim levels are Pure, Essential, Sensory and Proactive. All use a 3.5L V6 engine, continuously variable transmission and all-wheel drive.
Standard Features
Pure trim includes 18-inch wheels, auto on/off LED headlights, LED fog lights, sunroof, power tailgate, power-folding and heated side mirrors, leatherette upholstery, graphite weave interior trim, heated front seats with eight-way driver and six-way front passenger adjustments, leather-trimmed steering wheel and shifter, power tilt-and-telescopic steering column, heated steering wheel, passive keyless entry, three-zone automatic climate control, auto-dimming rearview mirror, cruise control, six-speaker stereo, six USB charging ports and two USB audio inputs, 8.0-inch infotainment touchscreen and predictive forward collision warning with pedestrian detection and emergency braking.
Essential trim adds side mirrors that tilt down in reverse, rain-sensing wipers, leather upholstery, driver's seat power lumbar, driver's seat memory, front and rear parking sensors with rear moving object detection, 13-speaker Bose stereo and navigation.
Sensory trim brings a sunroof for second- and third-row seats, hands-free tailgate, hourglass quilted seat inserts, maple wood interior trim, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats and remote engine start.
Finally, Proactive trim gets 20-inch wheels, high beam assist, auto-dimming side mirrors, intelligent cruise control, blind spot intervention, backup collision intervention, distance control assist, lane departure warning and prevention, active trace control and Infiniti's eco pedal.
Key Options
The QX60's sole option is a Theatre Package for the Proactive trim that adds a rear-seat entertainment system.
Fuel Economy
Infiniti's fuel consumption estimates for the QX60 are 12.5/9.0 L/100 km (city/highway).
Competition
With the QX60, Infiniti hopes to attract shoppers looking at vehicles like the Acura MDX, Lexus RX L and Audi Q7. The QX60 also competes with high-end versions of mainstream utilities like the Pathfinder, Honda Pilot, Toyota Highlander and Mazda CX-9.
