History/Overview
Kia's Sedona joined the minivan market back in 2002, and has since grown from the smaller side of the segment to a full-size minivan. The same size as the competition, that is. The Sedona saw a refresh in 2019 and few changes since. It will be replaced by the Carnival for model year 2022.
What's New
After the 2019 refresh and with a new model on the way, there are no changes to the Kia Sedona for 2021.
Available Trims
The Sedona is offered in LX, LX+, SX, and SX Tech trim levels. All get a 276 hp 3.3L V6 and an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Standard Features
LX trim offers 17-inch alloy wheels and LED marker lights as well as heated and power-folding side mirrors. On the inside, it has eight-passenger seating, an eight-way power driver's seat with lumbar, heated front seats, tilt-and-telescopic steering column, heated steering wheel, leather trimmed steering wheel and shifter. There is air conditioning with rear controls, a 7.0-inch infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, cruise control, keyless entry, 3.5-inch digital gauge cluster display, auto-dimming rearview mirror, cooled glove box, driver's side blind spot mirror and rear parking sensors.
LX+ adds fog lights, and eight-way power adjust to the passenger seat. It also comes with rear side window sunshades, wireless phone charging, passive keyless entry, hands-free power tailgate and power-sliding side doors.
SX trim adds 18-inch wheels, LED taillights, a sunroof, chrome exterior and interior door handles, three-zone automatic climate control, compass, satellite radio, drive mode selector, connected car services, a 7.0-inch gauge cluster display, blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.
At the top of the range, SX Tech adds automatic high beams, LED positioning lights, leather seating, adaptive cruise control, electric parking brake, lane departure warning, driver attention alert and forward collision detection with automatic braking.

Kia Sedona models are estimated to return 12.7 L/100 km city and 9.9 highway.
Competition
The Kia Sedona faces tough competition from the Chrysler Pacifica and Grand Caravan (the originators of the segment) as well as the Honda Odyssey and Toyota Sienna.
