2005 Jaguar X-Type

Top Gear
Buying a car fro your kids to drive that is safe?
Look at the X Type. AWD.

As safe as any other 2013 car with side impact airbags.

I bought my own Sports Wagon X-Type 3mths ago and immediately put an after market muffler system on it.
The car drives like a sports car. Sounds amazing (not too throaty) and looks like I paid $25,000+.

I keep it clean as a whistle. Its Charcoal in colour and drives every bit as good as it looks.

I paid $5,500 for it with 190,000 kms on it.
Its a V6 3ltr and is every bit as economical as any car on the road.

I love driving it!
The relatively high kms are actually low as the cars previous owner commuted it only and kept it in V.good condition. My car plants me in the driver's seat every time I pull gently away from the lights.

Try to buy the Sports Wagon -it's the best in its class and like I said, it goes like the wind.

One more thing, replace the muffler with a Mina Gallery muff.
It's the 'Thinking Man's' muffler & gently releases the Jaguar Growl!

The only down side is that there are not many Sports Wagons available to buy - so good luck with that!

Heads Turn !!!
A treat to drive and a pleasure to drive. I look forward to every outing. Trunk space is a little tight because of the space required for the convertible top. The V8 is s-m-o-o-o-t-h.
My wife says that it is a real lady's car so who am I to argue??

I have had this car for over 5 years and it is fantastic. If you keep up with maintenance like brake pads, oil change and frequent washes, you will fall in love with it every time you drive it and see it parked waiting for you. It really is one of the great Jaguars, and cars for that matter.

1990 Jaguar XJ6

Excellent Car For An Enthusiast On A Budget!
I've had very good luck with my XJ6. Anywhere between 1988-1996 you're going to have pretty good luck. These were built very well and perform way better than previous models. I have the 4.0L I6 and it with it's ZF transmission are very reliable. With age and higher mileage you get smaller things going wrong when month or two. Just under $60.00 fixes such as hoses, clamps, sensors, ect. This price would be cheaper if you are able to do these kinds of repairs yourself, which is very simple I might add. The only big payout I have on the car is fuel, and towing when the car does go wrong. When they see a 6000lb Jaguar they see dollar signs. The looks and feels fantastic. My other car is a BMW 740i Sport, which is a sublime car, but it still doesn't make me happy like my XJ6 does. If you want a Jaguar, go for this!

1955 Jaguar Mark VII

by hunter420 on 03-01-2013
i love driving it
The Mk VII chassis came from the Jaguar Mark V with which the Mark VII shared its 10 feet (3,048.0 mm) wheelbase. But for this latest offering Jaguar designed a modern and streamlined looking body, featuring fully integrated headlights and mudguards along with an increased rear overhang which gave the car enhanced presence. As on the Mark V, the upper part of the rear wheels was covered by the body work (properly called spats, and removable for flat tyre wheel changes). In place of its predecessor's flat windscreen, the Mark VII design included a two piece front screen, adumbrating the gently curved one piece screen that would become available with the Jaguar Mark VIII.

The predecessor model had been powered by an engine of prewar design, originally developed by the Standard Motor Company. The Mark VII featured the remarkable newly developed XK engine first seen in production form in the 1948 XK120.[4] The 3442 cc straight-six engine provided the same 160 bhp (119.3 kW) power output in this application as in the Mark VII's sports car contemporary. Despite its size, a top speed in excess of 100 mph (160 km/h) was claimed for the Mark VII.

Best looking 4 door
The sleekest 4 door in the market. Interior rivals that of the best bentley's and Rolls royce's. Aesthetic appeal is better than all cars and turns heads like crazy. Makes every commute a joy and the luxury is up to par of maybach's with features such as rear wooden tables and the semi aniline italian leather matches that of the finest Rolls royce the massaging seats are the best I have sat in and the prestige and cache triumphs that of any of the competitors including the Maserati Quattroporte.

2013 Jaguar XF

by Gabriel on 02-14-2013
Good Ride
If you live in Southern California or south Florida, Jaguar’s two best markets, an all-wheel-drive Jag is as useless as a chocolate teapot. But if you live in the Northeast, another hot zone for luxury nameplates, almost all of which make good money on AWD, it’s a different matter. Jaguar needs this all-weather option, and the price-leading XF and the flagship XJ get it for an extra $3000 and $3500, respectively. It comes in both cars, teamed exclusively with the new supercharged and direct-injected 3.0-liter V-6 that pulls 340 horsepower.

Neither the steel-bodied XF nor the aluminum XJ was originally designed for this electronic wet-clutch front-drive system, which echoes BMW’s xDrive. A short propshaft angles slightly left from the transfer case behind the eight-speed automatic to an open differential on the side of the engine’s sump. The right wheel’s halfshaft passes through the sump so that the engine stays low. The gear adds 154 pounds and, on dry surfaces, can shift half the torque forward.

2014 Jaguar F-Type

Nice ride
It's a nice car to ride.
If they shove in the manual and remove a few options and price it at around $64k, it will be a bargin compared to the Caymen...

I wonder how much lower the coupe will be?

For once the fit and finish of jaguar actually comes with performance. They should have launched the car with the manual option. I've been looking for something sophisticated with power...the 92k price tag is a little hard to swallow...I'll see what it looks like in person.

Great All-Around Car
I've had this car for quite a while and it preforms great! It is good for city driving but when you want to let it loose in the country side, this car will leave you speechless. Best advice when owning this car is that if you take really good care of it it will run beautifully.

Really pleased with car, had to take it Jag for a couple of minor issue...
Very fast and handles well for a big car.
Luxurios interior, nice qiuet ride.
Shifting into Sports mode and pressing the Dynamic Mode button tightens the transmission (the dash turns red) breathtaking performance.

Boy do these things depreciate
Great buy as used car, - but better not plan on using the dealer to maintain it.

I have my car has been rock solid reliable as far as engine, and electronics. It eats wheel bearings for some strange reason.

An absolute MUST is to change ALL FLUIDS front to back every 80k km... and then the car will never let you down.

Overall this is an amazing buy used, as long as you are willing to participate in the upkeep and repairs.

1996 Jaguar XJ6

Nothing like a Jag!
What a beautiful ride! And there are many little luxuries like heated rear seats and windshield nozzles to spray the headlights. When I had one I had to get used to people coming over to talk to me constantly as the Jag makes such a fashion statement. They are so well made there is very little mechanical repair - only maintenance. Everyone should own a Jag at some point in their lives! Everything else after that will be compared to the Jag.
