2000 Saturn SC1

Easy on gas, Reliable.
Let me start off saying I've only owned this car for a year now, coming on the second year as a winter beater. Performance wise, it's slow and go-kart feeling when you're doing over 120. The interior is uncomfortable, and if you need to pack anything well, good luck.

Good car but not very comfortable
I drove a 2001 saturn SC2 to learn to drive a car and overall it was a great experience! The polymer panels are very nice as it makes it so it wont dent or rust. Had to replace a couple of things but overall a nice car

Great car for years
I bought this car over 10 years ago, this vehicle has never died on me. I have put very little work into it. It has over 218,000km and still going. If they still made this vehicle in 2018 I would purchase another one.
It's not fancy, no power windows, no wifi, no hands free, but I love it.

2008 Saturn VUE

LOVE THIS SUV!``
I BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE SECOND HAND IN 2007 AND FELL IN LOVE WITH IT RIGHT AWAY! I love the way it rides and the seats are really comfortable, I have back problems and find the height getting into it is perfect - I can just slide right in. Groceries are easy in and out with rear lift door. I have had no problems at all with this Saturn, The only time it is in the dealers is for regular maintenance, I would buy it all over agian in a heart beat!

Great used car
Has held strong for all my years of college and university. Some issues with recalls early on but has always been a reliable ride. Starting to fall apart on me now though (Windows broken, multiple repairs needed, etc) I would buy another Saturn in the future.

2005 Saturn Ion

My first car
I love this car. I bought it when I was 17 years old as a used, well-loved vehicle and I have loved it everyday. It's cute, it's fast, I love that it is stick shift and it is perfect for road trips. ,y only complaint is that it's a 2 door not a 4 door, but then again, I'm never stuck chauffeuring people around.

Nothing so great about it, not bad not good, but if you're just searching for a car. this isn't a bad car. It's somewhere between a ford taurus and a Honda accord

2002 Saturn L100

by SFwriter on 03-16-2017
Comfortable to drive
Front passenger interior door handle broke off, completely separating from the moulded interior door panel (it was part of the mould, not an attached piece) in the winter time when the door was closed. It wasn't THAT cold outside!

Stainless steel exhaust is disintegrating now. Loud and throb-y, which is not good in a residential neighbourhood. Too costly to fix, particularly in light of the fact that the A/C failed in 2011 (not spending $900 to fix it), and the BCM (Body Control Module died at the same time, meaning the remote fob doesn't work to open the trunk or doors, and the security system doesn't work.

All the warning lights on the dashboard are permanently on, the gas gauge is pinned on the full mark, the heat gauge is pinned as well. The only things that work are the speedometer and the tachometer. High-level brake light failed (replaced with LEDs), rear right brake/clearance/marker socket has distorted from heat and works unreliably. The catalytic converter shield (aluminium) rotted off, Had to bypass the transmission lock when the BCM failed because it locked the transmission permanently in Park.

As the BCM started to fail, my alarm would go off at night, usually 3 a.m., or the interior lights would come on, or the automatic headlights would activate (while parked with no key) and kill the battery. Having no resources to purchase another car, I've been nursing this one along ever since.

Replaced the rear-right brake slave-cylinder last year when the seal burst, which ruined the pads, so had to do those, too. Rad-core wouldn't supply sufficient cooling (had to run the heater on full in the summer so it wouldn't boil over until I could afford to fix it), so had to replace that as well.

I loved my SL2 Saturn, so I bought the L100 when it was time to replace it. Biggest mistake ever. It worked well in the beginning but it has just fallen apart as it aged. The plastic body LOOKS good, but it conceals utter garbage inside...

2003 Saturn L200

by Chris126 on 02-22-2016
Great car for a regular life
This car is not a sports car, but it's not a boring car. The 2.2 inline 4 likes to rev and the transmission (4 speed auto) shifts well under full to moderate throttle. However, if you're going from anything about 60 kph or higher, acceleration isn't terribly fast, as the 0-100 time is just shy of 10 seconds. Inside, the front seats are very comfortable cloth buckets, and the back seats are a bench with the same cloth. Leg room in both the front and back is more than adequate. Trunk space is roomy, and the opening is large. Fuel economy is average for this size of an engine getting an average of 9-10L/100k. The stereo lacks bass and guts, but it does work fairly well at low-medium volumes. All around, it's a fun little car that is good on gas, takes corners very well, and will last a lifetime.

Great, reliable and fun to drive!
Overall very pleased with this vehicle. Extremely affordable between great gas mileage and excellent technical reliability. It drives like a coupe but the interior is comfortable especially with the extra rear passenger reverse opening half doors. The extra doors and folding seats make this vehicle very adaptable to various needs with ample room for cargo or passengers. This vehicle will surprise you as it quickly responds with 174 horse power making this convenient and economical car fun to drive. Saturn's unique plastic body panels make up the majority of this cars exterior which keeps it looking clean and fresh on the road for years to come.

Good, reliable vehicle
I enjoyed my Saturn Astra very much. It is a decent car, not much power but that's not the reason for buying an Astra. Very spacious for cargo, especially with rear seats folded down. Disappointed with lack of an AUX input, and fuel economy was not quite as promised, but still a well-designed compact hatchback.
Overall, its a really good car, drives well in the winter and is very reliable.

German quality
Very well made car and it will last for a long time. This cars are well known in Europe as a well build and reliable cars. Many potential Canadian buyers worry about parts supply in Canada for this model and staying away from buying the car.I did call GM Canada-US and they will supply parts an also your local GM dealer minimum for the 10 years or until year 2020 and even after that .This car is well wort the money when you compare what else you can buy in that price range of $ 8000-$9500 and let me tell you nothing comes close to this car.All other brands in this price range cars are high km or older , accidents,ex rental etc .

Great little All-Wheel drive SUV
No problems - and a great vehicle on snow & ice. I've driven other SUV's over the years and like this one since it's relatively compact, not top-heavy. Cargo space in the back is good and with the seats down you can pack an amazing amount of stuff in there. Virtually no rust anywhere after seven years is a big plus in maritime driving conditions.
