2013 Subaru XV Crosstrek

Trim: Sport
by theSTiBear on 07-23-2015
Great fuel for adventurer
My previous 2.5RS had worn out and exchanged for brand new; same interior concept design/features, but more advanced technology from sedan to wagon. I'm snowboarder, camper, kayaking, traveler.... all fit in one XV instead of sedan.

I wish Subaru accepts diesel motor available in North American market.

2000 Subaru Impreza

1st Generation is the best!
Purchased used one from Subaru and had drove for 10 years all-season daily owner. Excellent driving condition on summer and snow performance because it comes with rear-wheel locked differential (STi model after 2004 comes with hydraulic controlling). It changed me to become engineer because it made me figuring out how AWD and Subaru rally works. It was one of the best hobbies ever had before I purchased XV. I miss it sadly and MUST have it back!

2008 Subaru Legacy

Legend of AWD
I'm Subaru driver having influenced to family members. My dad purchased Legacy over my 2000 2.5RS because he realized AWD and reliable is matter to him even in Canadian condition.

The performance and handle are same, but only difference is size and space; especially the length of wheel base. If you are a parent of family, Legacy or Outback is recommended. If you are single, get Impreza or WRX then. I wish he should purchased Spec-B because it is one of sleeper vehicle lists!!

2007 Subaru Impreza

Trim: 2.5i SportWagon Special Edition
by RobbieSTG on 07-16-2015
Very strong vehicle All-around
I purchased this car new and have enjoyed it ever since. I was looking for something with 4 doors, all-wheel drive, and a manual transmission. Naturally, the Subaru won over its competition. The wagon's seats go down allowing for a lot of cargo space, the engine is more powerful than Civics or Corollas, and the All Wheel Drive system is extremely advantageous in Ontario. It is also a sporty drive, with a sharp manual shifter from STI and loads of grip in cornering and acceleration. The sport bucket seats taken from the WRX also hold you in on spirited drives. The brake system is also uprated. The larger engine and AWD system do come at a small price; fuel economy. You get more out of the car, but you have to put a little more in at the pump. In the end, I'm sure the driving enthusiast will decide this trade-off is worth it. (~10L per 100KM)

A great mid size SUV best among its class , highly reliable specially in winter conditions. Economical fuel consumption, plenty of cargo space , comfortable interior , large sun roof and all round visibility , sport shift with AWD with excellent maneuverability and reasonably low maintenance.

Good Road Manners
Excellent for Cdn Prairie winters especially with winter tires. Excellent handling and road feel with good steering feedback. Reliability has been very good and after 100k replaced valve cover gaskets, fuel cap, battery and tires plus regular maintenance. Interior is plain but all needed features are there including stability control. Seats are OK. Subies are noted for their excellent safety and crash test results. I have been very happy with this car and I note that re-sale value is also very good.

2008 Subaru Legacy

Trim: 2.5i

One Does Not Buy a Subaru and Not Have Fun
Warning; Upon purchase of a Subaru you may experience side effects including: hysterical laughter through the winter months, lots of snow drifting, and the need to go out for a drive after it snows.
In the summer, you will experience the phenomenal grip of a perfectly symmetrical drive-train and the smooth power delivery of a boxer engine.

The car rides in comfort; The only vibrations you feel come from the road, and you won't ever want to go back to a non-boxer engine ever again. The interior is well designed, the back seats are quite comfortable, and the controls inside are all easy to reach.

Fuel economy is very good for an All-Wheel Drive vehicle, but you won't be getting much below 8L/100km ... With mixed driving, be prepared to hit ~9.5L/100km (again: that's pretty good).

The outside looks sleek, elegant, and downright sexy from some angles. There is something about the looks of the car that makes it really eye catching.

Reliability is legendary. Keep to the maintenance schedule and take care of the car, and it will go strong for hundreds of thousands of kms. The N/A engine is rev-happy and doesn't mind being slapped around at 4-5,000 RPM. If you have a manual, try to never rev past 6,000.

Yah, that's all. If you're looking for a reliable car that gets you through everything the world can throw at you, get a Legacy. Specifically, a Gen.4 (2005-2009).

good solid dependable car
I am the original owner of this car and it has served me well. Nothing more than standard maintenance and wear-and-tear and the perfect size for moving large loads, yet small enough that it can be fuel-efficient. This make & model has received several safety awards.

Fun to drive and more practical than you think
This has been a great car for me. With 305hp and it's rally pedigree it is the most driving fun you can have at this price range. The 5-door body also makes it far more practical than other sports cars. This car eats up the road will carry whatever you need to bring with you.

I love these Subarus
Have had this car for 6+ years. It's been as comfortable, reliable vehicle for both my wife and myself. Very pleasant to drive both in-town and on the highway. We no longer need a second car, but we're keeping our newer Subaru. Maintenance and repairs have been good for an older vehicle. If looked after, it should last for several more years as Subarus often go 300 K to 400 K. There really are good reasons that Subarus cost a bit more.

This is a well appointed Outback with the ultimate security for winter traction. The heater, defroster, heated seats and above all the stability, make this a perfect winter car. If driving in heavy rain the stability is also superb.

Best Car For Winter Driving
Climbing steep snow-covered hills on the way to our chalet was a breeze in the Subaru Forester. The All-Wheel Drive grips like crazy and the wheels don't spin. Turning radius is outstanding, making parking easy.

Fuel economy is so-so as there is more friction with the AWD system - when you take your foot off the gas, it slows down quickly rather than coasting as other cars do. That's the price of having the best traction of any car I've ever driven.

incredibly reliable
Second owner, took it about 2 and a half years ago at 207000 km and rode it for another 40000 km .
Didn't have any problem with it.
It is a pleasure in the summer. Very safe and maneuverable in winter, through deep snow or icy roads.
The car also enjoys long rides on the highway, increasing the mileage considerably for an AWD of its size and power.
All in all, a beautiful family car one can enjoy and rely on.

Great Value for luxury performance AWD vehicle
Bought a 2006 Subaru Legacy GT Limited used when it was 1.5 years old back in 2007 with only 9000 miles on it and continuing to love its spirited performance and comfortable ride 8 years and 70K miles later. A great reliable vehicle that has one of the best AWD systems available. Wicked traction in all winter conditions with snows mounted - have a hard time breaking traction on snow even while accelerating with all of the 250 hp available. Low cost of maintenance ownership except that it likes to drink premium fuel but worthy of having such a fabulous performing vehicle.

This is the car you will feel you have full control, specially when you seat you can see every angel outside by those nice wide mirror.

Driving is very exciting while Subaru Symmetric AWD in action. More control in driving and more safe.

Never think you will be stuck in winter very powerful engine will let you move always.

Leather seat, power seat, heated seat will let you feel you are in summer while outside enjoy nice snow.

Going anywhere at any time in any condition in safety and comfort
This Outback was the second of the family and has never given myself or my wife any reason to complain. We had three more Subaru cars in the family and have come to the conclusion that you cannot get much better than that. My only problem with the car is myself - at 6'6" and 325 lbs most of their models are a tight fit for me. But this is obviously not their fault; aside from that, if I could make a wish, it would be for a TDI version, just for the sake of fuel efficiency.
