Great ride, lots of room in the backseat for teenagers!!
Love this car. It's our 2nd Subaru after Volvo XC's. This is a great car with lot's of warranty left as well.

2002 Subaru Outback

Always will own a Subaru!!
I agree with the other review on this year!Yes,parts can be expensive BUT weigh the amount of repairs(minimal)on Subarus compared to North American cars,of the same year,Fords and Chevs come to mind....
Before I bought my Subaru,I had a 2002 Ford Focus wagon.I was putting repair after repair on it and it had major rear end problems which caused the tires to wear and the tranny was going and it had only 170,00 kms on it!My Subaru has289,000 kms on it and works great,no major or expensive repairs, just replacing worn out parts-like brake pads and the altenator. And regularly changing the oil helps a lot.

Next car willdefinately be a Subaru!

Most Versatile Vehicle to Own
Reliable and still viable at 280,000 kms. This 4-cylinder gets great fuel mileage both on the highway and in the city. The carrying capacity is fantastic; fitting a family of 5 and a 95 lb dog quite comfortably. Have maintained the car regularly and only had a minor air conditioner issue in year 7, that was easily fixed at a minimal cost. We expect to drive this vehicle for another 280,000 kms.

I love this car. All wheel drive and built really well
It is the best car I have owned. I love the ride and very reliable. The only thing I can say about the car in a negative way is that it is hard to work on yourself and parts can be expensive.

A Great Family Car
We have had this car in my family for over ten years, and have travelled on countless vacations across Canada and loved every minute of it! The car is so reliable, spacious, fairly fuel efficient and is quite stylish. I would recommend this car to anyone, especially a family who is active and drives often especially outside of the city.

Oldie but a Goodie
We purchased this vehicle three years ago. It has been very reliable and it a veritable workhorse. We used it to hail about 2 tons of compost and manure to make our garden.

Now we use it to transport our young baby.

For such an old vehicle we couldn't be happier.

Most Versatile Vehicle to Own
The 2003 Subaru Outback, 4-cylinder, is a great car to go "everywhere" in. It carries kids, cargo, friends and family comfortably, safely and reliably. It performs particularly well in heavy rain and snowy conditions. With just under 300,000 kms, it continues to run smoothly with nothing more than regular maintenance and repair. I am looking forward to my next 300,000 kms in it!

Best purchase ever!
If we didn't have three kids, we wouldn't be selling our Outback. It's so much fun to drive and it's fantastic on fuel. There is ample truck space and easy to transport large items. It's also great for elderly folks who have difficulties getting in and out of a vehicle since it is low to the ground.

Really going to miss having this car!

Power to go through anything
This car goes through it all. The AWD makes it perfect for our winters and the turbo makes it fly when needed. The most comfortable heated seats make those long drives fun. Well worth the money.

Subaru never disappoints....
if you want from your car is RELIABILITY. Good ergonomics, decent fuel economy for its size, distinctive looks come as a bonus .I am on my second Subaru, and had to sell the Forester only because I was leaving my country, felt like it could go another 200,000 just with oil changes. Ride is a bit on the harsher side though, and a power liftgate could be useful.

Great all around vehicle.
Good value for the money. Strong and smooth engine with great passenger and cargo carrying capacity.Great in winter conditions and reasonable mileage on regular gas for 6 cylinder engine.
Very reliable vehicle so far with 25,000 kms and appears to maintain its value over the years.
Improvements could be made to the suspension for greater stability at high speeds and cornering ( believe 2013 model year has been improved) and the size of the front passengers cloth seat cushions (should be longer for better leg support).

It's safe, reliable, comfortable AND makes driving FUN
We purchased this car as a demo in 2007 - it was 1-year old. As a result of driving a Subaru for the past 6 years, we are purchasing another one!

A great all-wheel drive car for a great price and ready to go.

Subaru Outback Needs a few upgrades
Owning this car since new I find the interior although OK could be more comfortable. Very reliable with scheduled mtce being done front brakes changed @ 100,000 KM as well OEM Tires lasted as long as well.. I would consider this unit agai n but might consider the 6 cylinder i nstead of the 4 which i drive now

Take care of her and she will get you where you need to go , through any weather and any road. Oil change every 6 months and check all levels ever 4. Top up when needed. Had for 4 years now and no problems . put over 75k miles myself and never a hitch.

It was a great car!
Despite it's poor fuel economy, this was a fantastic car to drive in the Canadian winter, on long road trips across Canada and into the US.

Very spacious interior, even loaded for camping trips with three teenagers, and an incredible amount of space for transporting cargo with the back seats down.

The children are grown and gone now;-) and I'm downsizing (to an Impreza!) otherwise I'd be buying another Outback!

It's the best ride ever!!!!
I love this car and all of it’s features. It has padded leather seats that have a heater that is really useful in the winter and many other features. It’s seats and headrests are very comfortable, my child takes a nap on them frequently when we travel long distances. It has great fuel economy, it allows me tons of miles per gallon and I barely ever have to refuel. Interior design is very sleek, modern more of a stylish car than an economy car. It is white which is great in the winter and is also great at night and day.

Great car for Canadian Winters
I've owned this car for 160000km, travelled across Canada with it and now live in the very extreme area of Ottawa where temperatures outside go from +40C to -30C, a very difficult environment for many cars. This car has performed very well with the only exception being gas mileage. Newer models have improved in this area and my next ride will definitely be a Subaru.

2010 Subaru Outback

Fantastic ride!
Just purchased 2010 previously owned Outback, premium trim, 3.6/6 cylinder/auto. Checked out manufactureres on Consumer Reports and so far very impressed. Interior very spaceous, comfortable and efficient. Road visbility excellent with no blind spots. Harmen Karden sound sytem awsome. Mileage appears quite respectable for a 6 cylinder (especially after my 2002 Jeep Liberty). Original owner kept car in showroom condition! Will install winter snows, but without the TPMS tire valves (they are installed on summer tires). On highway, car is solid and responsive. Still getting used to the dash and instrumentation - everything electronic. Automatic transmission, but can operate in standard with steering wheel mounted shift "paddles". Car is relatively new to me so just getting used to it but so far, very impressed with Subaru. Hope to keep this car for quite awhile.

Best car for winter
The all-wheel drive system Subaru uses is just amazing. Looks alright inside and out, nothing to flashy. Lots of room for transporting items and goods. Boxster engine pulls nice for a little 4 cylinder in a heavier wagon.
Can't beat the handling off-road and in the winter.
Don't use the tip-tronic, the car only wants to shift when its ready.
Great car!
