New era muscle car indeed.
Yes its a Hemi ! Nice Ride,Spacious,Fast,Good looking and acceptable fuel economy. Now the down side: engine known for premature fail, its not as tough as the name implies and just in case the engine goes your wallet will be very soar that"s when i realized its not as cheap as a chevy : even a used Hemi is 3 times the cost of a chevy. i had also problems with the gauge cluster fails when it gets hot specially in the winter when you put the heat, all the gauges start getting crazy and worse is nobody knows how to fix this. Transmission is a 5 speed Mercedes with a very buttery shifting, not what you want from a muscle car and a poor lock up converter (some slippage in top gear from the converter) and there is no oil gauge so if it starts leaking good luck, and they do have a problem with the tranny leaking at the electrical plug on the transmission. Whats really funny is Mercedes uses this same transmission from 4 cylindre engine right thru 8 cyl. I personally think if you want to burn rubber this transmission will not last. The car has a stability program which can not be totally disengaged even as the button on the dash would let you think it does( very annoying) When the car was new, it had lots of bang for the money and this will definatly be a collectors car in the future.

Love My Car
I ordered this car brand new and have never had a problem with it. The radio was changed twice because the lights went out on the numbers but that was it. It is a great car for winter highway travelling - well balanced and the traction control keeps you headed straight. Wish they still made it so that I could buy another one new.

Most well-rounded vehicle ever made
I have had my magnum for two years now and have had zero mechanical issues; it's been very reliable. It has plenty of power to put a smile on your face, and all the options you could ask for, all for a great price. Not to mention it has plenty of space in the back for hauling or for camping (yes two adults can sleep back there). Fuel economy is not great, but you would expect that with a large car and a big V8.

Hope you like Repair Shops
Great looking car. Very Comfortable and roomy, handles well. In its best element on the highway where long wheelbase smoothes out ride.

FRONT SUSPENSIONS are known as horrible. Any Magnums (and same year Charger and 300s) on the road now are old enough to be plagued with knocks, rattles etc. Absolutely worst aspect of this car - Even the 2.7L engine shines in comparison.

An excellent, stylish car for any age group!
The Magnum has an amazing comfort level, it rides smoothly, takes off quickly, and is good on fuel. It has excellent reliability and has always started up, even on the coldest days. The exterior styling is unique and catches a lot of attention, even with minimal aftermarket accessories. The interior is an average Dodge design, but instead of the hard plastic dash and doors, the Magnum has a soft finish. There is a lot of cargo space to store your belongings and purchases, as well as legroom, for the driver and passengers to obtain a satisfying ride. This car is a dream to drive, with 250 HP @ 6,400 rpm, plus next to no road noise, and an estimated 17 city / 25 hwy.

My Red Beauty
I love this car. It so happens to be my first as well. I used it primarily for leisure, but as a filmmaker there were many times that i would use it while driving to sets taking film equipment and crew with me. Great in the mud, snow, ice, and rain. Never let me down.

Only reason why I have to give it up is because I'm heading back home. Just graduated from UBC and can't take it with me. Will always remember the good times (those 3am "I need a ride" favors and exploring the ins and outs of Vancouver).

Massive power, aggressive look, huge cargo & fully loaded
I loved this car but we have 3 others in the driveway! Incredible power, great comfort, all the luxury you could dream of... tons of cargo space, great for family vacation... it's like owning a RAM in the body of a crossover. It's been really pampered and well maintained so you will be able to enjoy its great condition. If you like the aggressive look, the HEMI and the AWD you will enjoy it year round. It's like a tank! :-)

Oh what a feeling
There's nothing quite like the experience of the power of these Hemi engines when you step on it. It just keeps pulling.

Fuel mileage isn't all that bad considering the size of the vehicle. The best I have got is 10.3 litres/100kms.

loved the style
Just purchased an 08 used, last year of production,Boo Hoo, 81,000 km, fell in love with the style, didn't want a tall boxy car, something that looked like a car but had lots of storage and room, and it does. I find the 3.5 has lots of get up and go but from what I'm reading, maybe I should have waited and got the Hemi, apparently better gas mileage than the 3.5. Oh well. The car is very smooth and quiet, have to really watch my speed or I'm a way over it's so quiet and smooth. Finding lots of stainless add on parts for it, want to give it that head turn look. I've always owned GM's, mostly Cadi's, first Dodge, and I'd put it up against a Cadi anytime for comfort, quiet and power, and oh yes, looks. Very well thought out interior, loads of room and storage. Can't say enough good things about this car. Hope to get lots of miles out of it, but at least, just in case, I was able to purchase a 3 to 6 year bumper to bumper, one of the benefits of buying from a dealer. Reading over all the great, mostly positive comments on this car, maybe we should start a Magnum club. After all, we will never be able to purchase a new one ever again. BOO HOO

Very good looking car. 3.5 liter V6 has been completely reliable and fuel economy around 11 liters / 100 KM combined. When I did drive it in winter, the traction / stability control is quite impressive!

Great alternative to an SUV
When we bought this car 4 years ago, we were only shopping for full-size SUVs. When I saw one on a car lot, I thought, wow that would be a great alternative to a gas-guzzling SUV. We bought an AWD for edmonton's crappy winters and never looked back. This was my wife's car and I bought a 300 AWD. The V6 in the 300 was actually worse on gas than the hemi Magnum, so it got sold and now the Magnum's my daily driver. It plows thru a foot of snow no problem like an SUV, tons of leg and head room for my 6'7" frame, gobs of power. Just needed a chip, exhaust and intake to liven it up! Has also held its value well and I've only done oil changes and a radiator/thermostat. Interior looked crappy but I put a trim kit in it to make it acceptable, though still not great. Pleather seats are comfy for long hauls, but don't hold you from side-to-side when being agressive. The DVD system and Uconnect are useful options. Needs exhaust if you are an enthusiast, as I couldn't even hear it idling when standing at the back of it before. I get about 11.5-12L/100 km with mostly highway driving. I've thought of trading it in, but its just too great of a car. You can't beat the combination of power, size/space, residual value (as a second owner at least), looks, and reliability.

Sharp looking but can be costly
I love my 2008 Magnum SXT AWD. It is a real head turner (inferno red) and still makes me feel great when I look at it all shined up. The car has been a great fit for our growing family (2 kids and a dog) especially for those summer camping trips. Always sufficient power on the highway and predictably decent gas mileage. The main issues I have had with the car has been the front suspension. I've done tie-rod ends twice, replaced lower control arms last year, and just had to replace one again 13 months later. I had the water pump and belt replaced at 90,000 and it went again 2 months later. Luckily those repairs were under warranty. Minor issues include the windshield washer pump stopped working, brakes (normal wear) fog lights burned out ( tricky to replace).
All in all I still love to drive my car...it has treated me pretty well since buying it used in 2009 at 34,000km. I hope Dodge thinks about bringing back the Magnum at some point in the next few years because it truly is a modern day classic.

Outstanding ride, Looks great too :-)
I traded up from a mini van to my Dodge Magnum two years ago. I wanted a larger vehicle to replace my mini van without going back to the mini van.
The size is perfect for a family, and a dog! :-) It holds an enormous amount of cargo.
The car has been very reliable for us. It's never been in the shop for repairs and is mechanically sound. It has been regularly maintained and cared for. Body is in fantastic shape. No accidents.
The Magnum is a wonderful smooth ride with tonnes of power both up hills and on the highway. Gas mileage is amazing. I was always happy with how little gas the car actually used.
I love the car and it's sleek style. We hope it finds a home that will be as happy with it as we are.

Ive had my magnum since June 2012. I find that its a great looking car with amazing comfort and reliability. Even though mine is a rear wheel drive I found to be not that difficult to handle in the snow. If you're looking for a vehicle that is as useful as it is comfortable and well designed, then look no further than the Dodge Magnum.

This car is a nice ride
I have enjoyed the magnum ever since we bought it, and am very sad we have to sell. Moving across the country has perks, but selling our magnum is not one of them, wish we could bring it with us! It is a nice ride, a reliable car, and you can fit almost anything in it! We bought a china cabinet, and was able to get it in the back and close the door....now that is storage!

Runs like a scared cat on the open highway
I have a love affair with my Magnum. With her hemi, she is one of the best highway cars ever. Not great in the winter, without serious winter tires, because she is such a low rider. And fuel...well, she is a sports car.

Extremely comfortable leather seats with powered heat. Not meant as a family car, but I hauled grandchildren in it.

The exterior look is somewhat akin to a hearse, but she is recognizable. And only black looks good, Maybe red. The other colors look a little silly.
