Ford Taurus 1986-2016Change

I bought my Taurus SEL brand new and it's been so good to me over the years - very reliable and very comfortable. It's made many, many, many road trips...very good on gas. Money-wise, other than regular maintenance (oil changes, tire rotation, etc.), I honestly can't complain. If I could, I would keep this car forever. In the last two years I've noticed the rust which I suppose is to be expected. I hope when I need to replace this car I will be lucky enough to find one just as reliable.

I highly recommend this vehicle. It has been a great car the whole time I've owned it. I have had no issues. It's comfortable and reliable, very low maintenance. It's a great car.

This car may not look the best or go the fastest but it is comfortable and reliable. It is not bad on gas and it doesn't break down if you maintain it properly and keep your fluids topped up properly. All in all it is a good car to own if you want cheap reliable transportation,

For the price it's a decent vehicle. Great gas mileage, a fair amount of road noise, pretty comfortable for trips, roomy trunk.

Its a very reliable car nice interior , great fuel economy and nice body shape, it is a wonderful highway car it almost floats on the highway

My new ride is great, good on gas, great driving. Good handling and good traction. Good inside, new car smell, never been smoked in. Windows tinted at back, great, family and friends love the car I got, it's better then the last one that I had, It was a dodge challenger, 79, it was good until it died in crash, So I looked around to get new car and found this one, I waited for 2 months before I bought the car, I went on road six hour road trip last week, it was great driving on open road.

I have a 2016 Limited with the 301A and drivers assist package. I notice that all of the recent tests I have seen were either of the 2.0L Turbo, or the SHO.However the 3.5 in my car has 288hp which is perfect in this car.
The car is as solid as a rock, It is utterly quiet on the open road. The seats are extremely comfortable, you can adjust everything in every direction, including the steering wheel and pedals. The trunk holds more than my SUV. The interior is spacious and comfortable, and the front seats are both spacious and cosy. The car's bones come from the days when Ford owned Volvo, and adapted their platform to the Taurus and other vehicles. This car offers a huge array of active safety features. The most useful is the ability of the cruise control to set the distance from the car n front of you, so it slows to the speed of traffic, and speeds up to the set limit when the traffic speeds up in front of you. There are tons of other features, which added to the comfort, the quality of the sound system, the ride, the solidness of the car, and the reliability that makes these cars favoured police cruisers, makes them a low mileage bargain compared to the other cars available at this price segment.

Again, not my vehicle but I drove it a lot, ours was a wagon in champagne beige with beige interior, was bought off an elderly lady 8 years ago, it now has 341,000 kilometres, and still drives perfect. Has some rust on it now, but survived well over the years. Comfort is incredible, they don't make them like they used too. Fuel mileage? Poor. Performance? Poor.

Handling was good, styling was beautiful, interior room was great. Here's my biggest pet peeve with it ever. Who the heck designs a 4-6 passenger vehicle and doesn't put cup holders in the back seats? Thanks Ford.

We now finally parked it cause we bought a Volvo, but if I had the money I'd fully restore it, I just love love love the design.

Bought this car with 5,000 kms on it. Love all the extras.
Good on gas if you are not a speed demon.
Nice riding, great stereo sound. Love the auto headlights.
Have done regular oil changes, tire rotations and undercoated every year. I have taken very good care of this car.
It is worth every dime!!! I wish they still made them so I could get another.

Our experience with this car is very good.We had no problems with it at any time be it on the highway or city travel.

A big car that performs like a cat, even in bad road conditions. This is a luxury car with all the gadgets anyone would want... Great stereo, sunroof, extremely quiet, heated and extremely comfortable multi-positional seats and incredible handling -all at a very modest price relative to the competition. Mileage is surprisingly good for a relatively heavy, and powerful car and averages about 10L/100km in the City and 7-8L/100km on the highway (for me). There is a good reason why the Taurus is the car of choice for most police departments in Canada at the present time - very reliable, safe and solid. The huge trunk holds an incredible amount of anything, making the car a good alternative to SUVs.

The only thing that I've had to get used to is the restricted visibility from the rather thick front and rear roof struts and it is important to look twice before you enter an intersection. There have been complaints with glare from the video dashboard display but I've not found this to be a major irritant.

We purchased this car used, with 37,000 kms on it. It had a couple of recalls, but aside from the heat and a/c, everything has performed beyond what you would normally expect of a Ford. It died today. It has over 300,000 kms on it, and until the past few months, has not needed anything other than maintenance and other upkeep you would need on any car at some point. This includes brakes, wheel bearings and hoses. The a/c didn't last long and after us driving it for 10 years, the heat wasn't fantastic either, but for the mileage we got from it, and the price we paid, we consider ourselves very lucky and hope to have the same quality with our next car.

We have travelled from Ottawa to New Brunswick mostly and the ride was very comfortable. The car is reliable and runs smoothly.

Fun to drive,excellent engine.spend lots of many an. Repairs,to bring this car to original condition as much as possible ,great opportunity to own piece of history in Taurus sho line ,very popular,and seek after by many enthusiasts.

Never let me down,liked the style and color,Only problem I had was when really cold passenger door wouldn't close,also the belt would skeek when wet,

I found this car very reliable , very comfortable driving almost anywhere , from the exterior to the interior it has everything that any person could want when purchasing a vehicle , it might as well be brand new . the exterior contains a gold paint job with 18 inch alloy rims the interior contains the works , thats the best way to put it . my overall experience with this car has been a 5/5 forsure .

This car has been a very comfortable spacious ride, a very reliable car with no maintenance issues and great fuel economy. Drives great on winter roads.

I have owned many cars and this Taurus is the best, most reliable one I've ever owned. Loads of power, reasonably economic, spacious and comfortable.Even has power adjustable pedals for both the tall and short. Engine purrs like a kitten. Many more miles left in this vehicle at a small price.

Drives beautifully ,it's comfortable, looks great! It picks up speed good on the highway and easy to pass. I love the large trunk and the roomy interior. I also like the backup camera and backup sensors. It's an all around joy to drive.

Excellent vehicle. Comfortable and roomy. Used as daily commuter, very good on fuel for an older model.

The Ford Taurus is an amazing vehicle, this is my first Ford and I am absolutely amazed at how good this car is. It's spacious, super comfortable, super quiet and the AWD gives the confidence you need to drive even in the worst of the storms. I'd highly recommend this over the Fusion and the terrible turbo engines they carry these days.

Its does not have a very good interior like BMW but this car is fully reliable
Never gave me a problem in winter neither on highways

We bought this car new and have driven it very little. I have never had any problems with it. My health has deteriorated and so I seldom go out any more. This is the perfect car for anyone who wants luxury and reliable transportation.

I have used this car as my mobile office and it is literally my home away from home with all the comforts as well.

Despite the kilometers on the odometer this car has lots of power.

The car is comfortable and very easy to get in and out of for elderly or disabled people. Lots of room in the trunk to carry along groceries and other large items such as a walker while going out shopping.
